AUSTRALIA V NEW ZEALAND - ODI 3 PREVIEW

The dead rubber third match of the controversial ODI series between Australia and New Zealand takes place at the MCG on Friday and the Aussies will start as overwhelming favourites to make it a 3-0 clean sweep over their Kiwi cousins. Australia is in much better shape than New Zealand with the likes of David Warner, Steve Smith, Mitch Marsh and Josh Hazlewood in supreme touch.

AUSTRALIA V NEW ZEALAND - ODI 2 PREVIEW

The questionable scheduling of Cricket Australia sees Canberra’s Manuka Oval play host to the second Chappell-Hadlee match between Australia and the touring New Zealand side. Australia got its campaign off to a shaky start before captain Steve Smith (164) and all-rounder Travis Head (52) got the home team back on track in the first ODI at the SCG before Josh Hazlewood and co ripped through the New Zealand batsmen in what ended as a convincing Aussie win.

AUSTRALIA V NEW ZEALAND - ODI 1 PREVIEW

Exactly a week after wrapping up the third Test at Adelaide Oval, Australia is tasked with switching formats to take on neighbours New Zealand in a three-match One Day International series. Much of the Test line-up has been named to play for Australia in a series that will take place over just six days. Australia is favourites to win the series despite naming a fresh, new-look squad.

AUS V RSA PREVIEW - THIRD TEST

The second instalment of the Adelaide day-night Test arrives on Thursday with a host of uncapped Australians in line to make their debuts. While mass changes have been the order of the day for the Aussies, South Africa has been immersed in a ball-tampering scandal that threatens to rub out stand-in skipper Faf du Plessis.

AUS V RSA PREVIEW - SECOND TEST

The first Test was a shambles for the Aussies after their incredible first innings collapse at the WACA against South Africa. No Australian batsman managed to score a hundred and no bowler bagged a ‘Michelle Five-for’. Of more concern for the Baggy Green is the amount of injuries wreaking havoc on the ageing roster; Shaun Marsh and Peter Siddle have been ruled out while a decision on Adam Voges (hamstring) won’t be made until just before the first ball is bowled.

AUS V RSA PREVIEW - FIRST TEST

For the first time in a long time, Australia will play the opening Test of the summer away from their highly successful home ground, the Gabba. Perth’s WACA has been preferred to Brisbane with the iconic Wolloongabba stadium set to host its first ever day-night Test in mid-December.

PAKISTAN V AUSTRALIA PREVIEW

The World T20 began with a bang, when tournament hosts India were smashed by a new-look New Zealand. Then Chris Gayle went berserk, hitting 11 sixes on his way to an unbeaten, 47-ball century (the fastest in World T20 history). The West Indies easily chased down England’s impressive 182, to win by six wickets.

ENGLAND V WEST INDIES PREVIEW

It has been a topsy-turvy World T20 so far, and with just one match remaining, it is anyone’s guess who takes home their second tournament trophy. India was the clear favourite coming into the competition and even after their loss to New Zealand in the opening game, the home team was still heavily fancied to at least feature in the final.

AUS V NZ PREVIEW - GROUP STAGES

The World T20 began with a bang, when tournament hosts India were smashed by a new-look New Zealand. Then Chris Gayle went berserk, hitting 11 sixes on his way to an unbeaten, 47-ball century (the fastest in World T20 history). The West Indies easily chased down England’s impressive 182, to win by six wickets.

WORLD T20 - THE CONTENDERS

No team has held aloft multiple World T20 titles and Australia will be hoping they can become the sixth team in as many years to win it. This is a very rare piece of silverware that isn’t, or hasn’t before, been in the cabinet of Darren Lehmann’s men.
