Every generation has a superstar in the NBA. In the 70’s it was Wilt Chamberlin, who still holds the record for most points in a game (100). In the 90’s it was the great Michael Jordan, who took the Chicago Bulls to six championships. Today, it is LeBron James, who has proven time and time again he will go down as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Both Jordan and James are the only players to average more than 20 points, five assists and five rebounds in their rookie season, alongside Oscar Robertson and Tyreke Evans.
The regular season MVP award goes the best player during the regular season. James has held it four times, one less than Jordan who won a record five MVP awards.
