Horse Racing | Triscay Stakes

The Triscay Stakes is a Group 3 horse race run under quality handicap conditions for fillies and mares. It is one of the main feature races on Apollo Stakes Day at Sydney’s prestigious Royal Randwick Racecourse. The event is run over 1200m and boasts $150,000 in stakes. The event attracts handy female sprinters who have demonstrated potential and could have bigger races ahead of them.

Improving types down in the weights are well suited to this event. However, some really nice mares have tasted Triscay Stakes’ success in the past including; Shindig (1997), Hot Danish (2008) and Madame Pedrille (2009). The race is named in honour of champion mare Triscay and was elevated to Group 3 status in 2013.
