Horse Racing | Stan Fox Stakes Day

Held annually in late September, Stan Fox Stakes Day is one of the premier race meetings at the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival. Headlining the Rosehill Racecourse event is the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes, a $300,000 race for three-year-olds over the 1500m journey. The day is named in the honour of Stan Fox, a New South Wales industrialist and racehorse owner-breeder who passed away in 1974.

The program boasts a number of competitive races, including Group 2s the Shannon Stakes and Gloaming Stakes, and Group 3s the Golden Pendant and Colin Stephen Quality.
