Horse Racing | Warwick Stakes

The Up And Coming Stakes is a Group 3 race for three-year-old colts and geldings held under quality handicap conditions. It takes place on Warwick Stakes Day as part of the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival. A race for sprinters, it covers a distance of 1300m and offers a total of $125,000 in prize money. Starting off as a Listed Race back in 1979, it has reached as high as a Group 2, before reverting back to Group 3 status in 2014. Held at Royal Randwick Racecourse, the Up And Coming is named in honour of the 1959 Warwick Stakes winner, Up And Coming.
